Drei Seen Wanderung

This tour takes you past 3 lakes that were formed during the last ice age and originally formed one large lake. Over the years, however, this has become increasingly silted up. The result is today's lake district, consisting of Lake Illmensee, Lake Ruschweiler See and Lake Volzer See. An idyllic nature reserve with many wonderful hiking opportunities.

This tour, which for the most part leads past the tranquil waters, is the perfect way to unwind. At Lake Ruschweiler, which is surrounded by meadows and fields, you can occasionally spot anglers. The calm waters offer the perfect conditions for fishing enthusiasts. After passing the Volzer See - the smallest of the three lakes - you return to the Illmensee. From here, hike a little way along the shore path with nature trail before returning to the parking lot. After a beautiful hike, Lake Illmensee offers a lido, playground and much more besides, making it a wonderful place to end the day.
