Circular hiking trail along the Ruschweiler and Volzer lakes
The picturesque resort of Illmensee, situated at an altitude of almost 700 m, is not only located on the Illmensee lake of the same name (72 ha), but is also surrounded to the north-west by the Ruschweiler lake (22.1 ha) and the Volzer lake (4.7 ha), which can only be seen from mountain paths. The nature reserve around the two lakes makes for a wonderful circular walk. If you still haven't had enough and don't want to cool off in the water straight away, you can also enjoy the landscape on the circular trail around Illmensee lake.
