This varied circular hiking trail is ideal for a family day trip
It is the gently undulating landscape without major differences in altitude that makes up the tranquil beauty of the area around Kloster Wald. Extensive forests with long, sometimes dead-straight paths, then again wide landscapes with individual groups of trees, individual farmsteads and small hamlets. Paths that are also suitable for young families. Barbecue areas tempt you to take a break. There are good parking facilities around the Wald town hall. Our route description follows hiking trail W1, alternatively we offer the slightly longer return route via the Way of St. James (W4).
