Description by the author

The 3-city tour is designed as a circular tour. This means you can join the tour at any point or shorten it - depending on your taste! Also ideal for e-bike riders.

We start our tour at the Stadtgarten in Pfullendorf. This is also where the platform for the Räuberbahn train is located, which takes guests from Aulendorf to Pfullendorf on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from May to October. Incidentally, bicycles are carried free of charge. First we ride towards the town lake, then towards Seepark Linzgau, leave Pfullendorf in the direction of Otterswang and ride along the Kehlbach valley via Bittelschieß to Krauchenwies. Hereditary Prince Karl von Hohenzollern had an English landscape garden laid out in Krauchenwies from 1828. The "green living room" at the princely family's country estate was created in the spirit of a romantic experience of nature. The Zielfinger Seen recreation and nature reserve is just a few minutes' drive away. These include two fishing lakes, a bathing lake and a bird lake. Whether at the lido or the "Haus am See" café and restaurant, this is an idyllic place for a short break.

From here, the route continues through the forest to Sigmaringen. Past the Josefslust game park. This hunting ground belongs to the House of Hohenzollern. In Sigmaringen, the circular tour takes you to Sigmaringen Castle. The Hohenzollern Palace is a former princely residence and administrative seat of the Princes of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and a landmark of the town. Use your ice cream voucher here and take a short break. After a sweet refreshment, the tour continues along the Danube towards Sigmaringendorf, Scheer, Mengen to Hundersingen. There the tour turns off towards Herbertingen and you reach Bad Saulgau. Our tip: take advantage of the second ice cream voucher and enjoy the cool refreshment in the beautiful atmosphere of Bad Saulgau's market square. Freshly fortified, we now set off on the final stage.

Through the forest to the Wagenhauser Weiher. Perhaps take another long break at the bathing lake. Via Bolstern, Bachhaupten and Tafertsweiler you reach the Ostrach quarry ponds and Ostrach. Now continue through the forest to Spöck and Kalkreute. You cycle along the Taubenried, which has been a designated nature reserve and landscape conservation area since 1998. After you have mastered the last climb to Pfullendorf, the tour takes you across the historic market square and you return to your starting point after more than 80 kilometers.
