Wald Monastery is located in the municipality of Wald, which is on the western route of the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. Founded in 1212, the monastery and its baroque monastery church of St. Bernhard with its impressive works of art and paintings is one of the outstanding destinations on the western route of the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. It is no coincidence that the monastery church is also a stop for many pilgrims on the Way of St. James. Seepark Linzgau was created in 2001 as part of the country's first green project "Nature in town and country".
