Radtour von Pfullendorf durchs Ruhestetter Ried

The tour leads from Pfullendorf's old town via the neighboring communities of Wald and Herdwangen-Schönach back to Pfullendorf and is suitable for leisure cyclists and active sports enthusiasts.

Starting point: market square

All tours have one thing in common: they start at the market square. Once there, the first thing you should do is pick up a cycling and hiking map at the tourist information office, which shows all the tours. The tours vary in length from 21 km to 31 km. We start with the cycle tour through the Ruhestetter Ried. This covers 30.5 km and is classified as being of moderate difficulty, although it does include a steep ascent of around 40 meters. The tour leads via the villages of Gaisweiler, Hippetsweiler and Riedetsweiler to Ruhestetten. In general, the area is very rural and reveals a beautiful idyll. The nature reserve is a diverse habitat made up of swamp forests, reed beds and wet meadows, to which a pond has been added over time. Here you can take a short break and enjoy yourself. The route then continues via Mühlhausen to Ebratsweiler. At the edge of the path in Mühlhausen, a small chapel adorns the townscape. Here you can take a short break. Because you'll need some energy for the next stretch: via Herdwangen to Kleinschönach to Hubmühle, where a 40-metre-high hill awaits you. Here it's time to hit the pedals. This is the greatest feat of strength. Via the Sohl - Aftholderberg - Tautenbronn stations, you are now approaching the end of the nature-oriented cycle tour. This route is definitely worth a trip.
