Description by the author

The route leads mainly on cycle paths through the countryside. The tour is suitable for leisure cyclists and active sports enthusiasts alike and does not require an above-average level of fitness. However, it does include two relatively steep sections.

Ab ins Drei-Seen-Gebiet

The P3 cycle tour starts at the market square and is around 31 km long. The level of difficulty is described as medium, which is also due to a gradient of 80 meters. The route leads over the Eichberg towards Brunnhausen. From there, you head towards Burgweiler with its sights such as the boundary stone museum, the 13th century crypt and the Ried nature trail.

Wind turbines and three lakes

Continuing on the Judentenberg route, there are three mighty wind turbines to marvel at before we reach the eagerly awaited three lakes. The first lake on the route is Ruschweiler See, followed shortly afterwards by the smaller Volzersee. The two lakes are a foretaste of the third body of water: Illmensee. There are great opportunities to refresh yourself here, for example in the outdoor lake pool. The resort also offers plenty of culinary delights. There is no doubt that the ambience at Illmensee is too tempting not to stop here. The route ultimately leads back to Pfullendorf via Denkingen.

A pleasant route

The route leads mainly on asphalt cycle paths through the countryside, which makes the ride very comfortable and is therefore suitable for leisure cyclists and active athletes alike. Two relatively steep sections make you work up a sweat for a short time, but the route is still manageable in terms of fitness. If you enjoy relaxing by small or large lakes or just cycling past them, this is definitely the right place for you.
