Mountain and valley tour along the Kocher, Sall and Kupfer rivers. Through an exciting landscape and two romantic little towns that are still characterized by their history. Mixed forests with great tree populations, lush meadows and fields make the circular route a "shore excursion".
The medieval old town of Forchtenberg with its fully preserved, partially reconstructed town wall, beautiful half-timbered houses and winding alleyways is an inviting place to stroll and stop for a bite to eat. The romantic castle ruins tower high above the town. A museum is dedicated to the famous Kern dynasty of artists in their former home, and works of art can also be found in St. Michael's Church. In the town hall, we come across a reference to Forchtenberg's connection to Hans and Sophie Scholl, who were executed in Munich in 1943 as members of the resistance group "The White Rose". The siblings spent their childhood in Forchtenberg until 1930.Sindringen is a small medieval town with a town wall, museum and castle (no tours). It was a Limes station and was once built by the Romans as a fortress to protect the Kocher crossing. The tour touches the Limes World Heritage Site in the southern and northern parts of Sindringen. It is still partially visible in the landscape.
