Spazierweg Weiher

A water- and nature-rich walk of approx. 5 km in the Jägersburg recreation area. The castle pond, the bridge pond and the small ponds near the mini golf course invite you to linger after or before a coffee break, for example. In addition to walkers interested in culinary delights, the trail is particularly suitable for families.

The "Weiher walking trail" is a varied and leisurely hiking trail with the Café am Schlossweiher, the Blockhaus, PETERS Biergarten and Il Lago as refreshment stops. The walk is therefore ideal before a coffee break or after a delicious meal in the local restaurants. The route can of course be extended at will. Nevertheless, the walk was deliberately chosen so that you can relax in nature on a morning or afternoon. Starting from Gustavsburg at the castle pond, it is a leisurely walk through the forest and along the Felsbach stream to the Brückweiher picnic and play area. As the name Felsbach suggests, the marshy Felsbach valley is located here, which is still a biotope for many species today. Walk past the log cabin and the Fun Forest adventure park along the Brückweiher pond to the former fish breeding ponds. The mini golf course with the small water lily ponds rounds off the walk. If you prefer to walk back through the arboretum, which is well worth seeing and has rare tree species in our region, including sequoia trees, you can easily do so via the wide footpath opposite.

The well-known Jägersburg ponds - the Brückweiher, the Schlossweiher and the Möhlwoog - are not only popular with local day-trippers, but also increasingly with visitors from all over the Saarland and further afield.
