MTB 8 Höhen-Tour

This medium-difficulty 32 km high-altitude tour starts at the Wendelinushof in St. Wendel and leads along the World Cup route in places, reaching the idyllic Ostertal valley with the renaturalized Oster and its special flora and fauna via the Fledermauskopf, which offers great views. High ascents lead to the height of the Buberge at 465 m. Those who visit in spring during the cherry blossom season will be overwhelmed by the view. We recommend taking a break at the "Entenweiher" (note opening times!). We are partly in Rhineland-Palatinate. In Osterbrücken, it is worth taking a detour along the bird nature trail or to the Martinshof, which is also nearby. Kingfishers have already been observed on the steep banks of the Oster. Due to the different ground surfaces, this route is very varied and by no means monotonous. If you still have some stamina left in your legs, you can combine this route particularly well with MTB 7.
