Kneippweg Ormesheim

Also known as the "Three Forests Tour", this hike around Ormesheim leads through various forest areas and also offers one or two distant views towards Bliesgau or Saarbrücken. The area is particularly beautiful in spring, when numerous early bloomers cover the forest floor with their colorful flowers.

The Kneipp circular trail in Ormesheim is an 11 km circular tour around the largest village in the municipality of Mandelbachtal. The hiking trail runs over ridges through all three forests of the village, offering many beautiful views. While the first half of the tour is always slightly uphill, hikers are rewarded for their efforts with great views in the second half.The hiking trail leads through the Bettelwald, Kirchenwald and Koppelwald forests, crossing all three forests around Ormesheim. Particular points of interest on the tour include the Kastelberg, which is steeped in history, with the Erbhof farm on the gypsum mine, the legendary Mühlenberg, the Strudelpeter chapel and the Koppelwald hut.
