Description by the author

Dark valleys, bright clearings and bizarre rock formations that have formed over several million years in the red sandstone area of Kirkel are what make the Zum Frauenbrunnen walk so extraordinary.

From the beginning in the forest, the walk to the Frauenbrunnen leads along wider forest paths through the red sandstone area of Kirkel-Neuhäusel.

The path continues over the Unglücksfelsen rock to the Frauenbrunnen fountain, a well-known, mystical-looking spring that was probably used as a place of worship by the Celts - another reason why the Romans and knights once liked it here.
