Traumschleife Kleiner Lückner

This short, varied tour with few inclines is also suitable for inexperienced hikers and families with children. At the end of the route, there is a Lourdes grotto at Rammenfels. The trail then meanders along the Losheim stream back to the Dellborn mill.

The hike begins at the Dellborn mill. The mill, which has been in existence since the mid-18th century, is located on the Losheimer Bach stream at the foot of the Wahlen mountains between Wahlen and Nunkirchen.Through various forest formations, you reach an open pasture area on the Eisenberg. Once you have passed the pastureland, the routes of the "Großer" and "Kleiner" Lückner fork. After a short time in the forest, the path leads into the valley. The green and sandy areas of the Nunkirchen golf course become visible.We continue through the forest and later pass a tennis court and a paddock. At a hairpin bend in the path, we are told that Münchweiler Castle is only 800 meters away.

After a short time, you reach the Rammenfels natural monument. The almost 30-metre-high sandstone rock is said to have been a Stone Age settlement site. Since 1948, there has been a Lourdes grotto under the overhanging rock.

From Rammenfels to Dellborner Mühle, a narrow path runs directly along the Losheim stream, following the meanders of the stream and presenting the viewer with a gallery of beautiful water images in a wide variety of colors. Sometimes the water babbles quietly, then it seems to flow silently onwards before it becomes audible again over stones and bends.

The trail has been awarded 66 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.
