The Reden Panorama Trail, which starts at the parking lot opposite the colliery house in Reden, offers impressive views from the slag heap all the way into the Hunsrück along the entire tour.

More than 300 years ago, the landscape between the former Reden and Itzenplitz mines aroused people's curiosity about the origin of the black "burning stones" discovered here, which they knew how to use in various ways.
