The tour leads past the water rocks and the Frauenbrunnen fountain to the Peterseiche natural monument, an ancient giant tree. Nordic walkers should not be frightened by the occasional eerie crackling in the forest, as some forest spirits and goblins such as the "Butterhut" or the "Permes" are said to be up to mischief here in the Kirkel forests. Other stops along the way include the Seven Spruces, the Dunkeltal and the Panorama Trail before reaching the Naturfreundehaus.
