Erlebnistour 11: Taubertal und Gaubahn

This tour is ideal as a short tour in between as well as for a leisurely cycle tour at the weekend. Although the start and end points in Creglingen are no longer accessible by train despite their location on the former Gaubahn, the nearest train station in Weikersheim is not too far away. From there, the tour across the Tauber Valley is also quite easily accessible. At most, the start and end points need to be moved to Bieberehren.

In Creglingen, by the way, you can do a whole museum tour if you wish: The Lindlein Tower Museum is housed in an old watchtower and offers unique insights into the way of life of the tower's last inhabitants. In the Thimble Museum you can see a whole range of sewing tools, some of which are elaborately crafted. The Jewish Museum, on the other hand, is dedicated to the peculiarities of Jewish life in Creglingen from the beginning of the 17th century until 1939.

Note on the Frauental-Erdbach section:
Due to the poor condition of the path, this section should currently only be completed by pushing!

Baldersheim: Reichelsburg castle ruins with well-preserved moat, cellar vaults, tower

Aub: Spitalmseum, market square, remains of the town fortifications, Riemenschneider group in the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on the market square

Waldmannshofen: Fire brigade museum in the castle

Frauental: Convent church with museum "From convent to village"
