In the middle of the district of Ratshausen lies the "Rosenkranzwald" forest, which has been owned by the small town of Schömberg for centuries. This forest, also known as the "Schömberger Tann" and located below the hamlet of Tanneck, once belonged to two noble ladies who were widely respected for their piety.

How did it come about that they donated their forest of almost forty hectares to the distant Schömbergers?
