Schluchtensteig Schwarzwald

Hike 119 km across the Southern Black Forest Nature Park past thundering waterfalls, up viewing platforms, through breathtaking gorges and dramatic valley landscapes.

It takes a bit of a sense of adventure and a special challenge to hike the 119 km of the Schluchtensteig in six stages in one go. With daily stages of around 20 kilometers each, there are a total of over 6,000 meters of altitude to conquer. High athletic performance, natural rock paths and root paths in primeval forest-like gorge forests, on viewing platforms and secured paths next to waterfalls - a natural paradise for pleasure hikers who should be sure-footed and largely free from giddiness. As the Schluchtensteig connects the most beautiful gorges in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park, it also leads along easy meadow paths and quiet forest trails as well as over panoramic heights with views of the Alps. This alternation of exciting rocky paths and peaceful high-level hiking trails in panoramic meadows and high moors as well as in the forests is what makes the Schluchtensteig so appealing, with new surprises waiting to be discovered time and again.</p
