This city walk shows the diversity of Oranienburg: on the shores of Lake Lehnitz you can discover hidden bays and breathe in the sea air. A first highlight is the view of the Lehnitzschleuse, one of the busiest locks for commercial shipping on the Oder-Havel Canal. The route passes the Sachsenhausen memorial and museum and then along the Oranienburg Canal. A detour is recommended at Oranienburg Palace and Palace Park!
Difficulty level: moderately difficult hike. Good basic fitness required. Easy paths. No special skills required.
