ÖD2 - Gottlob-Frick-Tour (mittlere Tour)

You can follow in the footsteps of the great chamber singer "Gottlob Frick" on this scenic hike past the Gottlob Frick memorial in Ölbronn.

This varied tour combines culture and nature, offers the opportunity to get to know the great German bass singer better at the Gottlob Frick memorial and to enjoy the beautiful landscape at the transition from Kraichgau to Stromberg. Gottlob Frick was born in 1906 in Ölbronn as the 13th and youngest child of a forester. The artist was awarded the title of Kammersänger three times. The "King of German basses", as he was called in numerous obituaries, died on August 18, 1994. You can find out more about the memorial site at www.gottlob-frick-gesellschaft.de.

The town center of Ölbronn is characterized by many well-preserved half-timbered houses and is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Eichelberg. You can also climb this mountain on this circular tour. Enjoy the wonderful view from the viewing pavilion from the vineyard over Dürrn to the northern Black Forest and the Stromberg.

There are refreshment stops along the way, including at the Böllstrichsee lake.
