Elbe Cycle Route

The Elbe Cycle Route leads through the towns of Geesthacht, Hamburg, Wedel, Elmshorn and Glückstadt, all of which are worth seeing.

From Lauenburg to Brunsbüttel, you cycle along the Elbe Cycle Path through Schleswig-Holstein. Over a length of 170 km, the route lines the banks of one of Germany's longest rivers: the Elbe. Along the banks of the Elbe you cycle past beaches, small islands and long sandbanks. Nature and culture lovers will get their money's worth here, because in addition to romantic vantage points in the countryside, attractive sights await along the way. After sections through beech forests, noble villa districts and tranquil small towns, the route leads to the port metropolis of Hamburg.
