Description by the author

This tour is the most varied of all stages and includes almost all the beauties that Brandenburg has to offer. According to the quality criteria of the German Hiking Association, this landscape achieved the highest number of points of all stages. With the exception of the lake promenade in Woltersdorf, the stage has ideal hiking trails throughout, until just before the Hangelsberg train station.

Length: 17.9 km, duration: approx. 4:30 h

Start: Woltersdorf

Destination: Hangelsberg

Logo / route marking: Blue point on a white background

Arrival by public transport: From Berlin main station with the S3 (Rahnsdorf) to Rahnsdorf, then continue with the TRAM 87 (Woltersdorf) to Woltersdorf, Schleuse (approx. 1 hour)

Description of the route / worth knowing: The stage takes you from Woltersdorf to Erkner and Fangschleuse, then it always goes along the Löcknitz to Hangelsberg. The Löcknitz valley stretches along the Löcknitz for 28 km from Flakensee near Erkner to Maxsee near Kienbaum. Like the Annatal and Gamengrund, the Löcknitz Valley and the Löcknitz also emerged from an ice age meltwater channel. The upper Löcknitz valley (from Kienbaum to Fangschleuse) has been a nature reserve since 1984.

Sights:
Woltersdorf lock and historic tram Erkner: Gerhart Hauptmann Museum, Genazareth Church, museum courtyard on Sonnenluch with local history museum, town hall Löcknitztal Road conditions / route expansion: predominantly unpaved roads
