Bretten/Diedelsheim: Seebergweg

The Diedelsheim Seebergweg offers a varied hike in and around Diedelsheim. It starts at the Saalbach bridge, from where it continues through the floodplain towards Gondelsheim to the Seeberg l garden house area. Always uphill, two benches invite you to linger and enjoy the view. You hike leisurely through the garden sheds and then along a grassy path to almost the highest point in the Diedelsheim district. The reward is a wonderful view of the hilly Kraichgau landscape with forest and fields and a heavenly distant view. After a right-hand bend, the trail descends into the "Loch". Tax orchards, pastures for donkeys and highland cattle, views over Gondelsheim and the typical Kraichgau landscape make this section of the trail interesting and eventful. Continue straight ahead along a grassy path to reach the educational forest. On the left at the edge of the forest you will find the entrance to a Celtic burial mound and further on at the "Waldeck" you will come across the Diedelsheim/Neibsheim/Bretten border point at the crossroads. Through the Lehrwald forest, over the Lehrgrund, you come to the "Weckerlesbrünnle" via the alpaca farm, the Spitalhof and a playground, the path leads back to the village.
