This beautiful circular hiking trail, which runs mainly on meadow paths, takes you through the Stahlberg / Hölleberg nature reserve. The trail starts at Langenthal airfield and leads through the calcareous grasslands high above the Diemel valley. Rare orchids, butterflies and other plants find a special habitat here. Juniper, which is used to produce the regional Diemel Dry Gin from St. Albert's Distillery, also grows here. A panoramic view over the village of Deisel (town of Trendelburg) to Trendelburg Castle also accompanies you along other parts of the trail.
