With its undulating profile, the Haukuppenweg offers both wide, paved paths and narrow trails to be rediscovered. The circular trail begins at the edge of the forest at the Wehneberg parking lot, where you can find out more on an overview map.
At Brunn-Platz, a bench invites you to take a break before heading uphill to the wooded Haukuppe. The detour to the Auerhahnhütte hut on the Haukuppe rewards you with a beautiful view over the Geistal valley. On the way downhill, the landscape opens up after the wooded section with wonderful views over meadows and fields. Above Heenes along the edge of the forest, the route leads back towards the starting point. Shortly before the last ascent on the Wehneberg, the Stötzelsteich pond is on the left.
