Stellerskuppenweg

From the "Roter Neon" aquarium club, the trail first runs uphill through the forest, then continues along the Eisenbergsteig trail. On the left, there is a wonderful view of the valley with the Hählgans farm and its horses. A small path then leads up to the Stellerskuppe. At 481 m, this is the highest mountain in the Kirchheimer Bergland. The absence of the hilltop is due to the basalt quarrying that began after 1850, mainly for road construction. Turn left downhill to the Lange Heide hiking parking lot. Passing a table and benches, you re-enter the forest, walk parallel to the country road for a while and turn left at the exit from the forest. Cross the road to the former Mönchesweg. A small stream accompanies you in the valley. Then it is not far back to the starting point.
