Barrierefreier Rundweg "Kilianstädten Nr. 24" in Schöneck

The barrier-free circular route bears the official name "Kilianstädten No. 24" and is marked on the Schönecker Rundwege signs with a blue dot and blue arrows on the asphalt. The route automatically leads back to the starting point of the loop.

The 3.7 km long trail has two moderate inclines, but these are easy to manage. The difference in altitude is approx. 46 meters. There are benches along the trail every 500 meters or so, inviting you to take a break. The path impresses with a wonderful panoramic view of the wide landscape in the direction of Schöneck, Hanau, Main Valley and the Wetterau. The barrier-free path coincides with the "Hohe Straße" for some distance. This follows the historical course of an old trade route from Mainz to Leipzig.

Wheelchair users with an accompanying person and families with prams or handcarts can easily follow the circular route (without snow). This continuously asphalted path is also a good choice for senior citizens and hikers who are less able to walk. Children get their money's worth on the swings located along the Hohe Straße. The surrounding wind turbines generate valuable energy and create interesting perspectives for successful photos. There are also information boards about archaeological finds and Kilianstädten at the starting point at the "Hohe Straße" hiking parking lot and at other prominent points along the trail.
