Vogelsberger Südbahnradweg

The Vogelsberg Southern Railway Cycle Route connects the cycle paths in the Kinzig Valley with the cycle routes in the Hoher Vogelsberg Nature Park along the former Wächtersbach - Hartmannshain railroad line. Cyclists can expect a varied landscape experience along the 35 kilometers of the Vogelsberger Südbahnradweg. In Wächtersbach, the Südbahnradweg can be reached by bike via the R3 long-distance cycle path, while in Hartmannshain there is a connection to the Vulkanradweg in the north. The "Vulkan-Express" bicycle shuttle service is convenient for the outward or return journey. The Vogelsberg Southern Railway Cycle Route is part of the supra-regional Hesse Railway Cycle Route, which runs 316 km from Hanau to Bad Hersfeld or can be ridden as a 400 km round trip.
