This Spessart trail starts at the cemetery. Here it goes through the open field with great views of the Vogelsberg. The hiking trail always stays on the level and crosses the country road. In the Salztal valley, the trail leads through agricultural landscapes back to the village of Lichenroth. Here the hiking trail meets the Südbahn cycle path and on the other side of the salt there is a lovely rest area for cyclists and hikers. In the village, the route passes the church and the village community center before returning to the starting point at the cemetery.
The recommended walking direction is anti-clockwise.
