The trail starts at the parking lot of the former orangery. The trail leads uphill through the park in the beech woods towards Steckelberg Castle. The ascent to the ruins of Steckelberg Castle begins at a large crossroads. Back at the crossroads, the trail leads back downhill through Ramholz Castle Park. Almost in the valley, the forest opens up and the actual park with its old trees is reached. At the church, a small gate leads out again and back to the parking lot.
