Roadtrip Kleinstadtperlen Calw - Oberkirch

From the small town pearl and Hermann Hesse town of Calw, the tour leads along the Nagold and across the Black Forest into the Renchtal valley to Oberkirch.

Calw

The birthplace of Herman Hesse, Calw, is located on the German Half-Timbered Road. The magnificent Black Forest backdrop frames the history-steeped town and tempts you to combine a hike with a stroll through the old town. If you want to wake up in the morning with a view of an old monastery ruin, spend the night at the pitch of the impressive Hirsau Monastery.

Oberkirch

Between the small town pearls of Calw and Oberkirch, the route takes you right through the Black Forest. In Oberkirch, you have now arrived in the Renchtal valley and can look out over the Upper Rhine. The sun-kissed region is bursting with wine and fruit growing - there is always a big strawberry festival at the end of May. Depending on your preference, you can spend the night in your motorhome at Schauenburg Castle between the forest and vines, at Oberkircher Winzer eG or centrally in the Kleinstadtperle.
