A varied hike around and over Mössingen's local mountain. Orchard meadows, mixed beech forest and rough pastures alternate along the way. Time and again, the trail offers beautiful views of the Steinlachtal valley and the Mössingen Albtrauf.
The Farrenberg is a witness mountain of the Swabian Alb, separated from the Albtrauf by thousands of years of erosion. The almost flat plateau is reminiscent of an aircraft carrier and there has actually been a glider airfield there for a long time (with the occasional propeller plane).
There is hardly anything left to see of Andecke Castle apart from the castle mounds. However, a plaque at the Unter Andeck barbecue site provides detailed information about its history.</p
