Badbergpfad

The trail takes you across the dry and semi-dry grasslands of the Badberg, a breathtaking, open landscape with nature reserves and through the Eichstetter Valley with arable and wine terraces and into the Dreisam lowlands covered with cereals and wet meadows.

In spring, you will come across this trail between Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil

and Nimburg, you will not only see the emerald lizard at the foot of the Badberg and on the small terraces of the inner Kaiserstuhl, but perhaps also the bright blue kingfisher in the ditches of the Dreisam lowlands. On summer evenings, the cricket makes hiking an acoustic experience. A hike on the Badberg is also very attractive in the fall. This is when the Degenmatten lie before you in glowing golden yellow - a dense carpet of golden aster causes this late blooming splendor.
