Description

Leisurely hike up between vineyards with a view towards Weischütz, the beautiful village on the Unstrut. The valley of the Unstrut lies before you in all its splendor. From afar, cheerful voices and church bells can be heard.

The path winds around the mountainside, with vineyard cottages and Adonis flowers nestled against the mountain. At the top of the Nüssenberg plateau, youll feel like an eagle perched on its nest. Everything here inevitably brings to mind Goethes Faust: To the moment I would say: linger, you are so beautiful!
In Weischütz, the Köhler-Wölbling winery welcomes you with delicious, cool wine. Through an old orchard with numerous Adonis flowers, you descend back to Weischütz. In the east, at the end of the view axis, you can see Zscheiplitz, Neuenburg Castle, and the Dicker Wilhelm keep.
In Weischütz, a visit to the village church is recommended, as well as a stop at the Köhler-Wöhlbling winery, where you can enjoy the glowing sunset with a glass of wine.

From the village center in Weischütz below and through the vineyards along the mountain to Nüssenberg, through vineyards and meadows back to Weischütz.

Travel information

from Laucha onto L 209 towards Gleina, turnoff to Weischützer Straße: from Freyburg towards Naumburg on B176, over the Unstrut and onto Schweigenbergstraße towards Zscheiplitz.
