Description

The town church of St. Mary and the listed town hall with its striking covered stairway characterize the city center of Laucha - the starting point of the hike.
The trail leads to the Bell Museum Laucha. More than 5,000 bells were cast there, today you can see historical working techniques of bell casting.
Through fields and a forest path, you will be guided around the Ennsberg. The path offers views towards Laucha, the opposite Nüssenberg, and into the wide valley of the Unstrut. Gliders soar high above the vineyards of Laucha.
According to legend, a dragon is said to have wreaked havoc at the Dragons Corner. Its eerie and beautiful here: in fact, huge skeletal remains were found in the gorge at the end of the 19th century.

Tips: The Ennsberg can be circumnavigated, the hike can be combined with the Borntal circular route up to the Orchid Path near Krawinkel. In the south, connection paths to Hirschroda and Balgstädt are available.
