Description

Also known as the main hiking trail, the Fairytale Grottoes-Kyffhäuser-Trail extends from Saalfeld to Bad Frankenhausen in 12 stages over a distance of 230 km.
It runs as a long-distance hiking trail through Central Germany. In Saale-Unstrut, it largely follows the Saale Cycle Path and can be considered a link through the region.

Attention! Due to construction work, there is a detour via Kleinheringen between Kaatschen and Rödingen (Stage 6). The detour is expected to last for four years.
In the area of Nebra - Wangen (Stage 9), there is an increased risk of deadwood.
