Description

On 12 km with 26 information boards and views of the vineyards, interesting facts about Saale-Unstrut wine are conveyed. For the little hiking enthusiasts, there are five child-friendly boards between Weischütz and Zeddenbach. The meadows adjacent to the path invite to play in nature.
Initially, the educational trail leisurely follows the Unstrut, then it becomes a circular path in Freyburg. This includes additional attractions such as the Schlifter vineyard, Neuenburg Castle with the wine museum, and the Ducal vineyard.
The impressions gained can then be deepened in one of the numerous wineries, at Rotkäppchen sparkling wine cellars, the Winzervereinigung Freyburg-Unstrut, in wine taverns, and gastronomic establishments along the route.

Start in Laucha – continue on the Unstrut Cycle Path to Freyburg (boards 1 to 19) – cross the Unstrut bridge towards the city center, through Schützenstraße to the city park (board 20) – continue through the city park towards Edelacker – pass the upper Schlifter vineyard (board 21) – to the parking lot at Berghotel zum Edelacker (board 22) – further to Neuenburg Castle (board 23) – next stop at Hotel Rebschule (board 24) – continue on the Neuenburg Circular Path through the Ehrauberge to the Unstrut Cycle Path towards Großjena (boards 25 and 26) – along the Ehrauberge, past the Ducal vineyard to the Unstrut bridge
