Description

The hiking trail rightfully bears the name Panoramaweg Mücheln. Along a shady forest path - with a view axis to Wasserschloss St. Ulrich and on the opposite side overlooking the St. Jakobi Church and the Baroque Garden - you hike above the town. Let yourself be enchanted by the Geiselquelle.

The hike starts in the old town of Mücheln. The houses and the town hall built in the Late Renaissance style are evidence of prosperity and civic pride.
Along the babbling Geisel stream, you reach a narrow path that leads you uphill into the semi-shade of the deciduous forest - you are welcomed by peace and rewarded with a view of Wasserschloss St. Ulrich.


At the idyllic Geiselquelle - shaded by old trees - you can refresh tired feet. The journey continues to the St. Ulrich Landscape Park. The romantic park with its partly very rare tree and shrub species, its Ruhenische and the view of the Baroque Garden is one of the highlights of the hike.
At the viaduct, you can catch a glimpse of the ultimate recreational paradise - Lake Geiseltal - before returning to the city center.

Tip: The hike can be complemented in many ways. Combinations with the Mühlenwanderweg and the Rundweg Müchelholz are possible, as well as a circular route around Lake Geiseltal.
