Description by the author

Along the circular trail around Lake Partwitzer See cyclists go past four lakes and can observe the different flooding stations in the Lusatian Lake District. The route also passes three canals where in the future it will be possible to experience boats passing by, starting with the Barbara Canal, which links Lake Partwitzer See with Lake Geierswalder See from Autumn 2019. The entire peninsula of Scado is designated a nature reserve and provides Lake Partwitzer See with the most distinctive silhouette in the Lusatian Lake District.

Length: 21 kilometres

Start/finish (recommended): Elsterheide village district of Klein Partwitz
Circular route via: Klein Partwitz – Geierwalde

Trail conditions: The circular route covers an asphalted lake circuit and is for the most part even.

Warning for skaters: Until 2021 the lake circuit around Lake Partwitzer See will include a short diversion just before the village of Lieske. The lake circuit is therefore no longer completely asphalted. The diversion covers a short segment with rough gravel. The reason for the diversion is building work on the northern bank of Lake Sedlitzer See – the road is required for access.
