Starting at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, you first hike through the spa park to the Erpetal nature reserve. Along the Neuenhagen Mill Stream, which is home to endangered fish species, you can enjoy lush meadow landscapes. Following the blue line marking, passing magnificent villas, you reach the famous Hoppegarten racecourse. The path continues through Neuenhagen to the charming town of Altlandsberg. With its historic old town, the castle estate, and cozy restaurants, Altlandsberg practically invites you to take an extended break. After a refreshing break, you leave the town area and cross country to the northern tip of Lake Bötzsee. Along the shore, there are many natural swimming spots inviting you for a refreshing dip. The route leads to the Herrensee nature reserve and further through shady mixed forests to Rehfelde and Garzau. In the last approximately 10 kilometers, the Märkische Schweiz enchants the experienced hiker with all its charms. Through mountains and valleys, you pass through the Rote Luch to the pearl of Märkische Schweiz, Buckow, from where you can take the journey back home with the museum train.
