Description by the author

On the Müllrose Planetary Trail you can explore our solar system during a quiet walk with friends, in the family or as a hiking group. Due to the scale of 1:1 billion, you move through the solar system at four times the speed of light. The path through the solar system is marked with a sign. The scaled distances between the single objects refer to the air line and not to the covered footpath. At each point you will find information about the respective celestial body, shown to scale. By means of the QR code on the information boards you will receive further information about it.
By walking through the planetary path you combine nature and natural science in a unique way. Opportunities for geocaching add to the excitement.

Stations of the planetary path
The sun is anchored in the town hall courtyard of Müllrose as the central star of the solar system. Leave the town hall courtyard through the back fence gate and turn left onto the educational and hiking trail. Follow the nature trail until you reach the Biegenbrücker Straße and you can find the small rocky planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars in between. Don't be surprised, the earth is only a tiny sphere and nevertheless our home planet. From Mars you follow the Biegenbrücker Straße. Then cross Beeskower Straße at the traffic light and cross the city park by keeping to the right, so that you discover Jupiter as our largest planet between the school and the daycare center. Now follow the Jahnstraße to the Großer Müllroser See, where you board the circular hiking trail and follow it out of town (on the right). You will then pass the ring planet Saturn and Uranus. You should take your time to get to know these planets better, too. At the following railroad crossing you cross the rails and use the Schlaubewanderweg. Near the culture barn of the Ragower mill in the community Siehdichum you will find our outermost planet, Neptune. A little bit more and you can relax in the Ragower Mühle after the nice walk.
