The hamlet near Stühlingen-Blumegg is home to one of the oldest mills in Germany, which is still largely intact. This is a unique rarity with three mill wheels and five grinding and tamping units. The gypsum mill is of great cultural and historical value, particularly because of its drive technology.
For more information and the opening hours of the mill, please visit: www.landkreis-waldshut.de
The museum mill can be easily reached from the train station in Weizen by following the signs for the Schluchtensteig Schwarzwald trail. You will find the corresponding signpost to the mill when you pass Lausheim-Blumegg railroad station. For those who want to take their time visiting the mill, there is also the option of taking the bus back from Grimmelshofen.
