Albsteig Schwarzwald Etappe 5 West Tour: Bernau - Feldberg Passhöhe Genießer

On narrow paths over the Scheibenfelsen and the Krunkelbachhütte to the highest point of the route, the Herzogenhorn with a fantastic view over the Black Forest and the Alps.

On the last stage, you have to climb a few more meters in altitude.

From Bernau-Innerlehen, the Albsteig trail leads along the banks of the Bernauer Alb to the Spitzenberg sports center. From here, you cross Bernau-Dorf and hike along narrow paths over the Scheibenfelsen, sunny pastures and shady forests up to the Krunkelbachhütte. Before you get there, there is a wonderful view over the Bernau high valley. From the hut, the trail leads through an idyllic valley, wide forest paths and a narrow path up to the Herzogenhorn. From this highest point on the Albsteig trail, there is a fantastic panoramic view over the Black Forest as far as the Alps. From the summit, the Albsteig directs hikers via the Herzogenhorn performance center to the pass at the Grafenmatt lift on the Feldberg, today's stage finish. The official route of the Albsteig ends here. However, if you wish, you can hike back to St. Blasien on the valley side of Menzenschwand and complete the Albsteig loop.
