Der Schluchtensteig mit Kindern - Durch die Wutachschlucht

The Wutach Gorge adventure is calling! The narrow hiking trail leads directly along the water in places, crosses the river several times or climbs into the rocks above the torrent.

Children are looking for variety and adventure when hiking. They will find both on the Schluchtensteig trail. The most beautiful part of the Wutach Gorge from Wutachmühle to Schattenmühle is also suitable for children. The rock galleries and ladders are all well secured with rope railings. The route is around 12 kilometers long and offers plenty of natural attractions. You should therefore allow plenty of time. The valley narrows from the starting point at the Wtachmühle, with steep forest and rocky flanks close together. In some places, all that remains for the hiking trail is a narrow ledge between the vertical rock face and the raging river. The Wutach outlet is passed, where the water seeping almost three kilometers upstream gushes impressively out of the mountain - or so one assumes, because the proof is still missing today. The Wutach-Gauchach-Schlucht hiking bus connects the parking lots at the Wutachmühle and Schattemühle. The bus also passes the village of Boll, so that there is an opportunity to get off after about two thirds of the route.
