On this circular hike, different types of forests alternate. You will walk through beech, spruce, and pine forests, with stretches of old gnarled tree shapes. Then you cross the Hörpel Heath, which can now be seen in its entirety. And soon the ascent to the Holzberg at the top of the Totengrund begins, which now lies in full splendor below you. The highlight of the day is the complete circumnavigation of the Totengrund, always along the slope edge and always with a full view into the depths.Start/Finish: Volkwardingen car park (Heide Shuttle)
