Saltgitter hiking trail (Kappental and Herzberg Gebhardshagen)

For the tour, sturdy footwear is advisable. The path behind the forest swimming pool and the adjacent sports facilities is still well developed. A first break can be taken at the tree educational trail. Here the hiking trail branches off as a footpath to the left into the forest. Always keep passing the houses with a tendency to the right until you finally reach a forest path. Following this, the ascent to the ridge path is imminent. Those with good condition can climb directly on the cleared route for the gas pipeline. All other hikers can choose the more comfortable ascent to the right. Then continue straight ahead, also up to the Adlershorst with its survey point. Unfortunately, the ridge here is very overgrown, a view can be glimpsed below the high-voltage line. For the descent at the end, it should be noted that it could be slippery after rain. The exact descent cannot be shown here, please simply follow the course of the path and the signposting of path No. 22.
