The diverse 14 km long section of the Monastery Trail starts at the Neuwerkkirche, a former monastery church with purely Romanesque structure from the 12th century and with murals from the 13th century. The path then continues through the extensive districts of Goslar, then through the forest and fields with a view of the Brocken. On the hiking trail in Grauhof, a district of Goslar, is the baroque monastery church St. Georg. It dates back to shortly after 1700, its significant Treutmann organ was first played in 1737. The last part of this stage runs along an old railway embankment and transforms into an avenue with fruit trees before Wöltingerode. The extensive former convent Wöltingerode, founded in the 12th century and redesigned in the Baroque style, now houses a comfortable monastery hotel and a monastery distillery in impressive historical premises, which has been producing high-quality liqueurs since 1682.Stamping stations: Neuwerkkirche, Grauhof, Wöltingerode.Angels benches: Neuwerkkirche, Grauhof Monastery, in front of Wöltingerode.
