From the thermal brine bath to the rabbit jump

The Harz club branch association Salzgitter has signposted numerous hiking trails in the extensive Salzgitter area, but exclusively in the west around the Salzgitter ridge. A good start to the hiking season is offered by hiking trail no. 1 with only a slight difference in altitude and a length of just over 3 km. The large free parking lot at the thermal brine bath is open at all times. At the hiking board, a path leads into the forest, to the starting point of many hiking trails at the barrier at the so-called Apothekerwinkel. In the shady forest, you immediately feel the peace and can embark on a relaxing hike. A stop at the forest inn Hasenspring is recommended. Smaller detours to the golf course with the sculpture trail or around the spa/greif park with more sculptures or a fairytale path are possible and can individually extend this short round into a longer excursion. For those who wish, a few more laps in the thermal brine bath or a visit to the bistro SoleMARE are possible.
