Along the route through the beautiful Almetal valley and its villages and towns, you will encounter many cultural and historical sights. You start at the historic town hall of the old Hanseatic city of Brilon. The route then takes you to Büren with the baroque Jesuit church with Kolleg. Shortly afterwards, you will also be captivated by Germany's only triangular castle, the Wewelsburg, in its mystical spell.
Before reaching your destination, the impressive Weser Renaissance castle Neuhaus, you will cycle past the old railway bridge in Salzkotten, the historic Mallinckrodthof, or you can take a detour to the city center of the old episcopal city of Paderborn. The Alme cycle path is consistently marked with blue signs saying "Alme Cycle Path" from the source to the mouth.
