Five Streams Trail

Nature lovers can observe how the small streams Golmeke, Nette, Lühlingsbach, Murmecke, and Aabach wind their way through their valleys here on the northern edge of the Sauerland. Along the way, wide views repeatedly inspire. The still intact landscape also attracts a diverse range of wildlife. The black stork can often be seen here. Impressive cultural-historical aspects along the wayside include the old plague cemetery from the 17th century near Leiberg and the village of Bleiwäsche, whose name is based on the mining of lead that took place there in the 16th century and was washed on site.
Further north, the mighty Aabachtalsperre forms a drinking water reservoir of special quality (dogs are unfortunately not allowed - A corresponding dog route will guide you and your four-legged friend on an alternative route past the reservoir).
Below the dam, the nature experience Aatal stretches out with a diverse range of tourist offerings. In addition to many leisure activities for young and old, the local gastronomy also invites you to linger and relax here.
